Under his Executive Order No.02, series of 2021, Gov. Cua reiterated strict adherence to minimum health standards which include physical distancing, hand hygiene, cough etiquette and wearing of face mask & face shield, among others and these shall be strictly implemented across all settings.

"All persons are mandated to wear face shields and face masks which include ear loop mask, indigenous, reusable, do-it-yourself masks or other facial protective equipment which can effectively lessen the transmission of Covid-19," the executive order stated.

Governor Cua has also directed all municipal local government units to provide copies and apprise all the barangay officials of the said Executive Order for its effective dissemination and implementation.

The Executive order shall take effect immediately upon approval and shall remain effective until such time that the Covid-19 pandemic is contained or upon recommendation of the Inter Agency Task Force.

Governor Cua in his previous radio programs and Facebook posts said the key officials of the province led by Congressman Junie Cua held meetings on February 27 and 28 to discuss steps to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the province.

He said all the six local government units have already passed ordinances imposing penalties for those who will be found violating the minimum health standards such as physical distancing, wearing of face mask & face shields, among others.

The "No mask, No entry" policy shall also be enforced in all public markets and all public establishments.

Furthermore, health safety officers will also be assigned in all gatherings, public markets, tourist destinations and private gatherings to check if all protocols are being followed and to report to the mayor about the people's adherence to the protocols.

"As our national government tries to simplify and unburden the people who want to move around and do their business, I enjoined everyone to stay safe. Our only shield against Covid-19 is our adherence to the minimum health standards," Gov. Cua said as he reiterated his commitment to be transparent and to provide all information that the Quirinians should know for their protection. (MDCT/TCB/PIA 2-Quirino)
